Summer Eurythmy Week 2023

  • School of Eurythmy 289 Hungry Hollow Road Chestnut Ridge, NY, 10977 United States (map)

Rejuvenate and Refresh with the Balancing Nature of Eurythmy!

"When music sounds, gone is the earth I know,
and all her lovely things, even lovelier grow..."
~ Walter de la Mare

During our summer arts immersion, Melissa Lyons will guide participants into the sources of tone eurythmy. We will work with what is known as the "tone eurythmy form," given by Rudolf Steiner as a fundamental form for tone eurythmy. Through this form and other exercises, we will experience how we can "sing" through movement and gesture. Natasha Moss will delve into the rich world of speech eurythmy with explorations into the living qualities in vowels and consonants.

We will have daily courses in speech and tone eurythmy, surrounded by biodynamic gardening with Mac Mead, and creative speech with Carolyn Rich, bringing a collective well-spring of rejuvenating activities.

For all levels of eurythmy experience. Beginners welcome!

Join us as we celebrate the arts of eurythmy, music, and speech, enriched by time in the garden, and the balancing capacities of experiencing them together!

Course Fee: $500

Pre-registration is required!
