Post-Graduate / Fifth-Year Courses

Fifth-Year Course
We are pleased to announce the offering of a post-graduate course in the coming year 2011/2012.  For diplomaed eurythmists who wish to experience another culture, language or approach to the art, this course broadens and augments the eurythmist's artistic work.  The faculty of the program will include Barbara Schneider-Serio, Christina Beck, Dorothea Mier and Annelies Davidson. Students will focus on independent solo and group work with guidance from the faculty.  Classes will explore different stylistic aspects of speech and tone eurythmy, including a focus on the English indications for eurythmy.   The course will culminate in a performance in early June.  This course can also be taken per semester. The cost for the course will be prorated based on the length of study.  The full year’s tuition is $4,400. The course begins in September, 2011.  We hope you will join us!

Applications are accepted throughout the year, but applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible due to the Financial Aid deadline of June 30th, and limited availability of on-campus student housing.

Financial Aid is available in the form of grants, loans, and work-study opportunities.  All financial aid is based on need.  Financial Aid Application Deadline: June 30th.

Housing: On-campus student housing is available.  Rents range between $375 - $455 per month, and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of an application form and housing deposit.  Housing brochure is available upon request.

Visa: The School is authorized to enroll foreign students, and will issue the necessary paperwork for obtaining an F-1 visa upon the applicant's acceptance into the Postgraduate Course.

Project Performance!
October 31 - December 2, 2011 at the School of Eurythmy
Course fee: $1500.

For years we have seen the need to offer a post-graduate program that takes an in-depth look at eurythmy as a performing art, exploring elements such as lighting, costume, make-up, publicity, and other essential tools for performing eurythmy. This fall we will offer such a program at Eurythmy Spring Valley, when we inaugurate Project Performance! During this four and a half week intensive, participants will work on group pieces in speech and tone eurythmy, polish tone and speech solos, already prepared, with faculty mentors, and have daily courses in stage craft.  The intensive course will culminate with a showing of the work.  The course will have a minimum enrollment to run, but also a maximum number of spots available for eurythmists. Apply soon if you are interested in helping us inaugurate this exciting new program.  Additional information on this exciting new program will be included here as it becomes available. For information on how to apply for Project Performance!, contact Lura Jacobs at (845) 352-5020 ext. 13, or by email at info@eurythmy.org.
