Eurythmy
For the
Developing Child - When utilized as a partner
in the educational process, eurythmy can have
a profound, health-giving effect on the
growing child. This application, called pedagogical
eurythmy, has been
specifically developed to work with each
stage of a child's emerging capacities. There
are hundreds of Waldorf schools around the
world which include eurythmy as a central
subject in their curriculum. (See Articles and Resources.)

As Therapy
- Every part of our body has a healthy
movement process. When this movement is
hampered or grows out of control, illness
occurs. Therapeutic
eurythmy can help to reestablish health
through the use of specific movement
sequences that assist in healing particular
imbalances. When included as part of a
therapeutic plan, developed between an
anthroposophical doctor and therapeutic
eurythmist, dramatic results can occur. (See Articles and Resources.)
Eurythmy
In the Workplace - The application of
utilizing eurythmy in work environments is a
new and emerging profession. One of the most
important contributions eurythmy can make in
this arena is that of team building. Working
with others is one of the great challenges we
face throughout our lives. We open up a new
potential for understanding each other
through the creative process of sharing in
eurythmy. Another tremendously helpful use of
eurythmy is the work that can be done with
those who have jobs with repetitive motions.
Beyond the team-building and therapeutic
value of eurythmy in the office or factory,
it is enjoyable and refreshing. If
you know of any businesses that would
interested in the benefits that eurythmy can
offer to the work environment, please contact
us.

As a Stage Art - Eurythmy has been
performed on stages across the world since
its inception. It is such a richly expressive
art form that its potential as a performing
art has just begun to be tapped.
For information about eurythmy as a
performing art see: Our Ensemble
and our Calendar of Events.
